I hear you. Maybe that's why they only do it once a year. But judging by how many people were at the event... I think it was quite a spectacular & successful event. The only other times I have seen this many people at the Museum & Welt is on the DTM weekend @Welt or this past Sept for BMW's 100th Birthday event.
One thing I wish that the BMW Museum would do... is have a special evening event where they would start up all the rare cars they have for the public. Much like what the Porsche Museum does...

the BMW Museum was absolutely packed for sure!
the Porsche Sound night event is definitely more unique. I got goose bumps listening to the Orange 911..
