In my case, I decided PHEV is not worth the additional price for my lifestyle. Maybe the tech will catch up with more time, but for now, its just not for me.

Not sure whether your dealers have any but in the NYC area, you can't even find a 50e to test drive. There are plenty of 40i on dealer lots. Hence it is more difficult to get deal on a 50e compared to 40i.
