Perhaps the market is different but metro DC has some of richest county's in U.S.

We will have to agree to disagree about my assessment as both the 40i and 50E have the same identical B58 engine, chassis, and options. Only difference is an additional giant battery, extra electric motors, and modules to make all the PHEV stuff work. Personally, I will never buy a PHEV or all electric car for that matter as I keep my cars 12-15 years; it's all complicity that I do not desire plus less MPG when running on gas due to the weight. It's a shame BMW does not have the diesel still available in the US as its a far superior engine and the Europeans are lucky to have it in their market.
