If production is starting in Aug I assumed this will be revealed at the Frankfurt auto show? However, it's not on the rumored cars from BMW to be present. That's kind of strange - no?

Worst move by Bimmer to replace F15 directly instead of going thru the natural LCI life-cycle. What's the rush? F15 is a success.

The X5 and X6 had a blink and miss it LCI. Not much changes to the exterior, more updated technology and exterior colour changes.

I'd go for a bit wider Kidneys, as the space between the two is pretty wide. Add a few more vertical louvers in there as well. A couple things I like about this new X5 are the rear lights and that they're mellowing out the use of angles/sculpted edges in the panels ... for a while now X5s were starting to look a bit too much like a big Ford Escape with Kidneys. |

The Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse was launched in 2013. Its having its mid-life LCI or MOPF in Mercedes-Speak.

Any rumours of weight savings and areas of functional improvements? I hope there will still be a suspension option which include ARS which I think is a perfect match for an SUV to minimize body roll without compromising the smooth ride over rutted and/or frozen surfaces expected from these vehicles.

Comparing the camo'ed X3 with this latest X5 sighting, i have a bad feeling that both headlights will look alot like each other. I hope im TERRIBLY wrong though. This new X3 front looks bulky..almost "cute", with its short headlights, and the current X5 commands a very masculine and wide appearance. Not to mention, they need to be easily recognizable between each other, not just by the size of the kidneys.
Lets hope for the best, but taking into account the lazy production BMWs designs of late, i dont have my hopes high. |

The G05 X5 has just dropped major camouflage, giving us a look at its X7 inspired design. The G05 X5 will begin production in August 2018 after the current F15 X5 ends production in July 2018. The current 35i and 35d models will become the 40i and 40d, resulting in the following X5 models: - sDrive40i - xDrive40i - xDrive40d - xDrive40e - xDrive50i
