I don't see Cooled/Ventilated seats listed as a stand alone option or listed under the Climate Control Package.

I read some posts that said cooled seats ARE included in the Climate Control Package (even though it's not listed...not sure why)

Wondering if adding Heated Front and Rear Seats as a stand alone option also adds cooled seats (even though, it too, does not say that)

Which model? In 50e ventilated seats are only available with climate comfort. I dont know about the other models.

Ventilated seats are part of the Climate Comfort package however that package is currently not available on the Configurator for the 40i in the US. Depending on timing it is possible to get them on an order however I wouldn't count on that happening.

As an aside, the seats aren't cooled but rather ventilated. They suck air in to keep you dry, with some cooling from evaporation, rather than blowing air out.

Yeah, been wondering about that too. BMW "ventilated" seats suck in more ways than one. I have them on my 2019, they're worthless, ineffective. Had a service tech review their function too, said they are working per spec. I do like the seat massage function, front heated seats and the rear A/C.

The ventilated seats do what they are designed to do...keep you dry on a longer trip. If you don't care about that, they won't be useful to you. If you do get in damp, and your trip is long enough, you'll also dry out. What they are not capable of is blowing cold air up your butt, since the air is from the cabin and is going by you into the seat and out the other side.

IMO - despite not being AC for your butt and back, it’s always better to have them than not to have them. The bottomline - they are better than having nothing!
