The G05 X5 has just dropped major camouflage, giving us a look at its X7 inspired design.

The G05 X5 will begin production in August 2018 after the current F15 X5 ends production in July 2018. The current 35i and 35d models will become the 40i and 40d, resulting in the following X5 models:

- xDrive40d
- xDrive40e

"B58TU will also get a small power increase to 335hp in non-M 40i versions. We'll see it in G05 first."

Confusingly, though, the current B58 already makes 335hp in the 540i, so I am not sure if there's a typo or what. And:

"N63 version used in G05/G06 will output 465hp. This is a new revision of N63, which means G05 won't have any legacy gas engines."

The diesel still seems like a big question mark right now. I don't want to read too much into it, but the lack of any update on the 540d is not exactly a good sign. Although this is an SUV where you could expect the demand for the diesel to be higher than in a sedan, I still wonder about the future of diesel from the German automakers in the US.

Nothing covered, simply the Base Adaptive LED Headlamps. ICON Pixel LED will have the hexagonal style rings, and Laser Light adds the blue trim elements.

My gut reaction is that it doesn't seem any larger than the F15.

MAybe a slightly longer wheelbase but same overall length. Maybe they stretched wheelbase to no longer offer a 3rd row, figuring if people want that then they'll go X7?

I called it " Spiderweb Camo" :-) 1st time outside the i8 Spyder that ANY BMW has been seen in this new look Camo Design ...Wonder if B&W Swirlys are on the way out....

It'll be sad if the new X5 looks better with the camo than without. I'd like to see the BMW Volvo X7 wrapped in this to stop my eyes burning

Just not sure about 22 inch wheels. Also, the rear pillar seems fat to me....
