I'm getting MBB M60 and am debating between black and cognac sensafin. I have midrand/black combo on my M8 and love it, but have never had a fully colored interior (all cognac for instance). I'm not sure I've seen cognac in person and my dealer isn't local. What do you think of it if you have it and which trim would you pair with it and MBB? Maybe the anthracite poplar or carbon fiber?

I'd love to see any pics people have. I searched and somehow didn't come up with much

Seen Cognac and the carbon fibre trim... then ordered it with that combo for my 50e as it looks very sophisticated.

Anthracite-Brown Poplar Matte would be the way to go.

If I had the funds to order a M60i I would’ve spec’d it as MBB with Silverstone sensafin with carbon fiber trim.

I'm not daring enough to get a light color interior like that. It does sound nice though.

I did the fine line black wood with Tartufo. I think it looks really good. I’d normally opt for CF but I had so much CF on the M3 that I wanted to change it up a bit.

Looks good. I was concerned how the black wood would look with the cognac. If I needed to go brown with brown or black with black for instance. Or maybe the cognac is light enough that the black would be fine.

You need to go find a good size dealer and look at these colors in person. I did a LOT of internet searching but the thing is, when looking at pix on a computer screen, the colors are not true and you also have the lighting/shading errors that happen by the person who took the pic. You can get to point where you can probably rule certain colors out but when comparing similar colors, you have to see them in person.
Mine is Tartufo but it looked like Cognac in some pix and visa versa. The first time I saw Tartufo in person, it was quite different than all the pix I had been looking at and that was even more pronounced with Cognac.

Silverstone is the perfect option if you’re okay with sensafin. There’s no concern with dye transfer. It’s a great option IMO.

After having several with ivory, I chose tartufo. Next one was silverstone and now am waiting on a 5/21 build with tartufo again. I found the tartufo very rich and inviting but it's a matter of personal taste. I agree you really need to see it in person.

Looking at the pics above, the thing that bothers me is there's no alternative to the aluminum/silver trim that is basically everywhere. It really doesn't look that good with every combination of selectable trim and interior color.

I have black interior and carbon fiber trim, so the aluminum/silver does stand out, but doesn't look so bad.

There should be at least a darker silver option, if not black.

Have several pairs of green shoes too!

I’ve had several people look at me and say “I’m guessing green is your favorite color?” and then they get pretty confused when I say “No, not really.”

I totally agree with everyone's point of seeing it in person and also that it's an individual decision. Internet colors can vary widely from real life. I've learned that trying to pick out exterior colors. Depending on what deal or I end up getting it from though I may or may not have ease of being able to do that. I was mostly just looking for people's opinions and experiences of the color recognizing granted that they are opinions and may be different than my own. Also another 20% of it is just holding me over chatting about the car until I actually get it. 🙂
