Stage1 wrotethose organic one?Curious if anyone else has made the transition from whey protein to vegan protein?
Trying Ubervita Ubertest to mix up the T supp route. Will see.
squishy wroteSame here...hard workout 6 meal's a day and nothing will beat naturalz!Good thread idea
For me...none. Absolutely nothing
Huge waste of money and completely unnecessary...
Everything can be achieved through proper nutrition, I just don't understand the need to supplement and face long term effects (and trust me, there are some...)
Stage1 wroteI was on ON Whey protein for 2 year'ish. I hit the gym consistently and only wanted the extra protein to help with muscle gains. In all honestly, it didn't do much for me. Also, i am always weary about the ill-effects of dairy bi-products, never a big fan.Curious if anyone else has made the transition from whey protein to vegan protein?
Made the switch around year and a half ago to Sun Warriors Protein which is basically as vegan and organic as it gets. Tastes HORRIBLE. mixes like putty and clumbs. Eventually got used to it and didnt mind it at all. But like Whey, didn't really help much, so i dropped off protein all together around half a year ago.
I used to also take Pre-workout, but have been off that as well as i find that it also doesnt help much.
The only thing i still use is creatine. Seems to work a tiny bit, can't really feel much difference, when i am off it or not.
kaede wroteI have been doing Arbonne protein now for about 8 months. Its a complete protein, pea based, and the taste is actually pretty good. I guess I am a little bias since my gf works for them, but I have seen much better results with it vs when I used to use whey.I was on ON Whey protein for 2 year'ish. TXSTYLE wroteSounds a lot like me. I usually get my supplements from Total Nutrition here in Austin, but I always keep some BSN and ON around the house in the form of Protein and BCAA powder. With more brands than we will ever be able to try, supplements are plentiful to say the least! Of course there is tons of "fluff" out there. These days I stock to protein, vitamin and mineral supplements with an occasional test Booster (mid 40s ya know). I've been a Gym rat for 2 decades!
So Which do you guys tend to buy or prefer?
I've been on BSN and ON protein for quite sometime now. With bars, I tend to switch up brands to mix it up. eBay recently had a superb deal on some of my favorite:
Oh Yeah - Victory bars. They taste great compared to most, use no synthetic sweetners, and have a nice soft consistency. No microwave needed lol!
In case I've missed it, let's also post up "great deals" we all come across.
I like to add the BCAA powder to my pre-workout. Either 1MR or Celucor C4.

Actually just ordered a few more bottles of protein:

UncleWede wroteI've tried it in the past and it was sort of hit or miss for me. One thing I've learned is that if you are not gonna actually go to a Dr and Lab and really have your blood levels tested, you truly never will know. The "placebo effect" is very powerful LOL! BUT, I will say that MANY seem to like it. I'd say give it a try and see if it works for you. Prepare to give it at least 6 weeks though. As ANY supps other than straight anabolic, will dissipate quickly by our body's natural filtration system. And even with regular vitamins, you need to get them in your bloodstream over weeks to start seeing and feeling benefits. So who is adding d-aspartic acid? And what are the risks that the bottle says to use for 8 weeks, stop for 4?
WHY do all the B-complexes have to give me such nasty yellow piss??!!!!
