wunderbar!

Just one question tho - The decoder lists my car as equipped with the following options -

575 Additional 12v Power Socket
6AA Bmw Teleservices
6AB Control Teleservices
6NH Hands-free Facility W. Usb Interface
663 Radio Bmw Professional

However, If i understand correctly, the teleservices is the option that gives you access to concierge (I may be so wrong here!)? My car does not have the SOS button as is available in cars with that facility. Maybe I'm reading something wrong!

Secondly, this lists as my car being equipped with the BMW Professional Radio. Does this mean that I should be able to "retrofit" the combox to gain access to enhanced bluetooth? By the looks of it, my car does not currently have a combox in the boot (usual location - left of the fuse box).

I’ve been trying to decode two VINs today using bmwvin but it doesn’t seem to be working. Looking for another site, or someone to decode these two, please:

Thanks!

Thanks - worked for me, too. I didn’t know about that site and searching hadn’t turned it up.

very curious how does this work? is there a database BMW maintains that these decoders pull the information from?

Apparently. Seen already VINs of BMW cars built the very same day. Looks like it's real-time.

Great way to compare used cars options without calling dealer/ seller

BImmer.work has always been my go to VIN Decoder a longtime.

For the past 60 days I have not been able to get the results to work (always a "something went wrong" message)

1) Is everyone else having this issue with the site or know what's up?

I've also noticed a few other VIN Decoder sites not working recently either.

2) Is there some sort of lockdown on the database?

3) What are the best working VIN Decoders at this point?

It worked for me just now.

I like bimmer.work. I've also used bmwvin.

It has always worked for me and it still shows the info for my 2016 M2.For some reason it doesn’t give the VIN info for the new G30 5 series.

Hey all -

I'm looking to purchase a vehicle but the VIN number doesn't come up for some reason. When I enter my VIN it comes up with no issue. Anyone run into this? I keep getting error 110 on the site. It's for a 2008 M5 VIN CX08156.

Maybe I can help. What exactly do you want to know about it?

I was basically looking to see what packages are included with the car, the way BMW VIN decoder gives you that info.
