So I had it installed. Braket is fine and fits in without an issue. What I have an issue is I can only hold the license plate with two screws which makes it a bit flimsy. I guess I will leave it be for the time being till something more stable comes out.
Does the plate cover a portion of the ACC sensor?
I don't have it
Thanks for the reply.
Is it a plastic attachment mechanism to the mesh grill? I was concerned that the grill seems a little flimsy and wondered how much stress this attaching system would place upon it. I think for those with ACC it may interfere.
Everything is metal made. Seems sturdy

And is the lower edge of the bracket metal where it may be in contact with the bumper?

The bracket may not work since Doc5513 has ACC and Dennis does not. Can you take more pictures of how it's secured and let us know if it can be shifted more towards the outer edge to avoid the central ACC sensor

sounds good, the ACC sensor makes front mounts difficult

denniss did you have to use the extenders? It doesn't look like it from the photos. With the extenders it may be possible to move the right clamp closer to the left one and then slide the mounting frame to the left more if necessary to clear any sensors.

Denniss doesn't have the ACC sensor in the middle of the lower grill. But there is a sensor on the outer left and right. I wonder if there is enough room btwn the lateral sensor and the ACC sensor to fit the license plate without interfering w either one? I tried a tow mount plate bracket, and it activates the lateral sensor on the front passenger side.

I bought the one for the horizontal slats and I am returning mine. It moved too much and I didn't like that you can only secure the plate with 2 screws. It also left some small scratches on the grill when I removed it.

...and the search continues! My temp plate is good for another month, so hoping we find a solution soon. Otherwise it's time to Drill!

Don't panic.. I never run a front plate but I guess it depends on how hard they enforce it in NH

They enforce it fairly strong here. I can't get a state inspection without either. I also need that by tomorrow.. I'm screwed

I need to measure the license plate see if this mesh bracket will work. If there is enough space for a plate btwn the ACC and PDC sensors.

I thought about that but I don't want to have to remove the strip after. I might try zipties. The way the front bumper is though, it will look very awkward. Won't sit even near flat.

well if you have to get the inspection now it'll buy you some time

I'm assuming the Sly Bracket will support that positioning. I have the bracket, just waiting on the X5.

What sensors are located on the front bumper and where are they? Are there any sensors to the left of the left edge of the Virginia plate in the image above?

sensors depend on what packages tour got. ZPK (parking assist package) has more sensors than the normal one

Yes, you can see the edge of the big square ACC sensor to the right of the plate in that picture. And the small round parking sensor just above the plate on the left side.

So was yours installed with the Sly bracket? If so, is all well a few weeks later? I'm in VA as well and looking for an msport option.
