Long time BMW owner- just purchased a 5.0 M sport in carbon black Metallic on 2/28. Leaving the ‘10 X5M was a little tough, even drove an ‘16 X5M ...but after driving this ‘19 5.0...there was no way back. The whole package is great. Miss the raw power of the big M but the tech and balance of the G05 is incredible. Can’t wait to see more powerful versions of this car soon.

Photos post clean up below. Met a great guy with a local chemical guys shop today who taught me more in 30 min about detailing than I’d ever read after researching hours on M5 / X5M forums. For this color- he recommended 4 steps- which I did In about 2.5 hours. Best looking results I’ve ever had. I can provide detailing info if anyone’s interested ....

Mods coming soon.....IND reflectors for front and rear already enroute.

Beauty. I have immediate ‘22 inch wheel envy...

Here’s the detailing line up, in order with pictures...

Soap is obviously soap- but go for neutral PH. The black light takes out all the micro swirls. I took before and after shots and it was pretty amazing. The jet seal is a long time favorite of mine- makes it so I can just wash for many months instead of repeating steps 1-2. I like it because it’s easy to apply and then remove without all the wax buildup in the hard to clean spots. Step 4, the sealer- verdict is still out. I found it hard to remove, may have been since I had just laid down the jet seal.

Carbon Black gets all the women but requires very disciplined cleaning and detailing program. No short cuts with this color. I am P21 fan for ultimate gloss and shine. P21 paint cleaner is ideal for this color as it’s not too aggressive to leave any clouding but can be used to remove light scratches and leave a perfect mirror finish. Quality microfiber cloths are a must. Most of your scratches happen when washing so get a foam gun or foam cannon and foam the entire vehicle down before you touch it. Let it sit for 3 minutes so the foam lubricates the dirt/grit layer. Then use your quality microfiber wash mit to lightly remove the dirt.

Love chemical guys only thing I would skip is sealant after the jet seal and put a coat of butter wax instead and then use the spray sealant instead after each wash ! I use the same setup on my black Dodge Viper and it looks like glass

I see the vehicle is plated in Maryland so you will have winter weather like I do up in NH. I like the 22 inch rims but they are not all season tires. What is your plan for the winter as they don't make tires that fit these rims for the snow......

Thanks in advance.

Hello!

For which part are you interested in?

All parts that I have on the website are available for all models unless I have a certain model it is only compatible with in the description box.

Finally got around to snapping some pics of my’26 X5 X40i. Carbon Black metallic, M Sport with Coffee Leather, Anthracite-Brown trim. I had considered having the wheels powder coated black but I really like the way they look with the CBM. I added blind spot mirrors and dual exhaust tips. Will be getting front windows tinted. BTW, took a trip from Cleveland to the Fingerlakes area of NY - average 30 mpg for the trip!
