Or nobody is writing about it, or nobody is tuning...
Convincing video on youtube:
I'll be waiting another couple of years at least to see what the longer-term/broader results are once more than a couple of people have done it, but if it's safe/stable/etc., I'm all in on that.
(Tuned my F-150 ecobeast and it was night and day difference)

I'm surprised no one in the States has jumped on this yet.
BM3? Mission Tuning? Anyone?
j1980mac wrotei know of two folks in the U.S. who did the Mission Tuning range mod, and two folks in the EU who installed the Bluespark module. I'll be doing the Bluespark after I get my car back from recall.I'm surprised no one in the States has jumped on this yet.

I used to have a G01 X3 M40i. Wondering if I can use the same tune?
j1980mac wrotecorrect, Mission Tuning only addresses the HV battery range extension as I stated above. The only tune available from Mission is the battery range extender (to my knowledge).

Result dynoed is 556hp /780nm
Just keep in mind depending on your local bimmer dealer you will likely lose warranty. But it's made my car into a beast and I have had zero issues. My tune is completely within engine tolerance. It's a stage 1, stage 2 requires a different air filter plus gasoline pump. That will add around 55-60hp more.

It would be awesome if Mission puts out a combo range extender + increased HP Mapping into single coding!! If ANY Mission insiders see this, please take note and comment. The market is waiting . . .
. . . these are counterproductive to each other, but opening the battery to EU standards with a basic ECU optimizer flash is what we all want! You know, the whole cake and eat it too motto....
