It got down to 41F the other night here in S. Florida. I haven't turned on the heat yet in house. I only do that when the inside temp drops to 65F. For reference, I keep the AC at 68F at night and 74F during the day. Yeah, my wife and kids are usually wearing sweatshirts while I'm in a t-shirt and shorts all the time.
Haha this is me. These cold fronts getting into the upper 40s/low 50s have done nothing to me (born/raised TN). This feels like early spring to me. Looks like we'll be up at 80 for the weekend again.

My wife is freezing at the house & we haven't turned on the heat. Typically keep it at 78 during the day (no one home) and 74 @ night. We've woken up the last few mornings to the house being 62-64. Gonna look great on the bill. F You FP&L lol

I'm from NY and lived in Boston for eight years. I hated the cold and snow, but I keep windows in the front and back of the house open to keep the cool air flowing through. I also check my thermostat app and know if my wife closed the windows and turned on the heat.

Downtown on Laurel Street. Far from you?
Only 5 miles away. I used to have an office off 3rd street and the most popular illegal nightclub in Baton Rouge. It's a long story... :sigh:

Here are some pictures I just took. Went out to shovel up the snowplows mess. Walked my ass right back into the house . It's too cold. I had gloves on, a scarf and a heavy jacket. Still felt the cold through my clothing.

Oh wait, there's my baby chilling in the garage

I'm from New Jersey. But, I feel like it gets colder here in Chicago than it did in New Jersey. It probably snows more there though. Idk I was about 7 when we moved to Chicago.

You guys see that guy using a flame thrower to clear his driveway on FuckJerry?

Curious to know if anyone who lives in a "snow state" has invested in a heated driveway

I'm sitting in my living room having my morning coffee, It's not to cold today just around freezing 0C. A bit of light snow right now. It's supposed to get up above freezing and sunny this afternoon. The last few days have been decent so I've been taking the dog for his walks out on the ice around the island about 500m from shore. I'm looking forward to summer.
That's a vibe:drool:

Oh that's hell to drive in and shovel

You should blow some insulation in the attic space above your garage. It also looks like some of the homes don't have good insulation in their attics also.

The flame thrower? It was pretty clever.

The driveways? A good amount of friends who live in a state with significant yearly snow, like Utah, has one.

How can you tell? I think the builders just put in insulation but they didn't blow any.

My room is above the 3rd garage and it's pretty cold in my room compared to the others.

I'm in Chicago. Yesterday sucked. Ran my snow blower last night so I wouldn't have to do anything this morning before work. It was cold and windy, so even after clearing the driveway the wind didn't do me any favors. Wish I had a heated driveway.

xi. But, I haven't driven the car since feb 1st. So, this snow/ice doesn't bother me.

I did drive it throughout the winter last year, it performed well. Only thing is, my front tires have uneven thread so the grip is eh.

Same, I snow blowed at 9:30 pm. That's when it stopped snowing here in the northwest suburbs. Then I tossed salt. But, the salt didn't do jack shit

Look at the roof and you can see the snow melting. That means you have poor insulation, or none at all.

And look at all the roofs in you pictures. You can see the heat loss where the snow is melted off.

Cloudy with a chance for boredom. Either give me snow or give me sun. The stuff is crap! lol

Where in S. Florida are you? My wife and I are planning to move to Stuart as soon as we can get back to house hunting. We were out there in December 2019 to hunt and then the stupid virus hit. I am ready to leave Cali

I used to live in North Jersey and it was freakin cold! But the weather has definitely changed a lot over the years but Chicago has always been way colder than Jersy was.

It is 8C here South of London and for once it didn't rain all day which is a miracle.

Been a little colder than normal the last few days...perfect excuse to wear sweatshirts.
