I have no need for another watch but I’d like one when I can get it on my terms. Under Msrp.
A new Rolex for under MSRP? Good luck, you might be waiting for a while. I'd settle for a white faced Daytona at MSRP. I'm also in the market for a Rolex Sub with date for my son's graduation next year.

Back in early 2021, my wife and I were lucky enough to acquire an AP (34mm two tone Royal Oak) and a couple of Rolexes (Chocolate faced 37mm Yacht Master and a Sea-Dweller) all at MSRP, but I've been waiting literally for years for that Daytona.

And I've been waiting that long because I refuse to pay over MSRP....

Got my Sea Dweller 43 in 3-4 months at MSRP this year, and I am on a list for a Panda Daytona at my SD might be years, but I'll wait.

And I also have a 1998 Sub I bought new for a hair under MSRP new from the now defunct Alpha Omega in MA

Find what you want and go to Hong Kong to buy it, prob still be cheaper from the tax exemption alone.

Revival from the dead.
Nowadays pawnshops, NYC Jewelers, and WhatsApp groups are the easiest way to get watches ADs may have you on the waitlisted for 3 years. Especially if your heart isn't set on one particular piece

Expect to pay over retail from non-Rolex AD stores. I would not trust a pawnshop, NYC Jewelers or WA groups.

If you have time, AD game. If you want it now, go gray. I've done the latter and no regrets.
