Hello,

I got my spoiler today and will install it tonight :D.

By the way, there is a good video online on how to remove the spoiler.

Hey guys! I wanna say thanks a lot for the tips! For sure saved me a few hours 🙈 for sure the magnetic head is a good tip. Chose to ignore that one and spend 5 minutes getting the screw out 🤦*♂️

Fitted mine today. Got it done in carbon fiber, since the company took a 3D scan of it (to later sell) and it turned out to be only a tad more than painting it.

Man oh man was it not easy to fit. Took me 45 mins. The hardest part was to get the clips in. It seems to me like for some reason the X5's mounding is more flat than the X5M's. So you're constantly having to bend the black plastic up to get them into the spoiler, while simultaneously pushing the clips in. An extra pair of hands would help. The result is for sure worth it though.

P.S do not do in a hot garage
Very Nice! :cool!:
I notice your rims are great alligned: what spacers/rims do you have?

Love this X5M roof spoiler retrofit! I think I'm going to the same mod. Thanks for the writeup everyone.

I'll post once it's done.

I know this thread is years old but I recently ordered and received a non oem replacement and having issues with installing it.

I understand aftermarket can always have possible fitment issues and I noticed this one part of it is about a full inch taller than the oem I unistalled so I’m thinking that’s the issue as it seems to be what’s preventing me from being able to get the sliding clips to align as it’s causing it to rise up while doing so

But I referred to the original poster of this and it kinda looks like the same part I’m talking about is taller…

Any insight or help. Do I need to return and get a different one or is this installer error?

Those need to be exactly the same in order for the spoiler to fit. You sure the spoiler was installed correctly along the guides?

I was able to finally get it to align as best as possible with no gaps anywhere. I’m not sure why the aftermarket one has the part much higher that I showed in the measurement and I wouldn’t think there’s any way it fits either soley based off that but it did in this case.

Appreciate your response tho!

Thank you! It’s Malachite Green (unless you can already tell and knew that haha). I just bought it a few months ago. Was lucky to find such a highly spec’d out m50 with an individual color

Thanks! I ordered it off some random seller on Alibaba. They had decent reviews and only paid $160 including shipping. Came gloss black which I preferred

God damn. Is this available in Europe? The Russian site is a little bit poorly designed!
