I got my spoiler today and will install it tonight
.By the way, there is a good video online on how to remove the spoiler.
.Mr.Pringle wroteVery Nice!Hey guys! I wanna say thanks a lot for the tips! For sure saved me a few hours 🙈 for sure the magnetic head is a good tip. Chose to ignore that one and spend 5 minutes getting the screw out 🤦*♂️
Fitted mine today. Got it done in carbon fiber, since the company took a 3D scan of it (to later sell) and it turned out to be only a tad more than painting it.
Man oh man was it not easy to fit. Took me 45 mins. The hardest part was to get the clips in. It seems to me like for some reason the X5's mounding is more flat than the X5M's. So you're constantly having to bend the black plastic up to get them into the spoiler, while simultaneously pushing the clips in. An extra pair of hands would help. The result is for sure worth it though.
P.S do not do in a hot garage

Akkord29 wroteI was able to finally get it to align as best as possible with no gaps anywhere. I’m not sure why the aftermarket one has the part much higher that I showed in the measurement and I wouldn’t think there’s any way it fits either soley based off that but it did in this case. Those need to be exactly the same in order for the spoiler to fit. You sure the spoiler was installed correctly along the guides?
