I could not find one here, did I miss it?

Any MMA fans here?

I grew up in a boxing household and it slowly lost me with the promoters ruining it.....then I watched my first MMA fight and I was hooked. Like I go back far enough that I watched a few scrambled back in the day. LOL

Been a Poirier fan since he showed up on the scene, and stoked to see him get his shot again and I think this will be his time. Sad because I think he will hang it up soon after getting it, but we will see. The $ might keep him around a little longer.

Lots of good fights on this card I think. Nunes -900 - says it all, but Garbrandt, O'malley, Emmett, Cruz.........

Lots of potential for some great fights.

Was a big MMA fan back in the day, around the early 90's; we're talking the Royce Gracie era. I was just getting started in BJJ, Kenpo and Isshinryu back then. I still watch on occasion, but I don't pay for fights and just don't get as excited about it as I used to.

GSP was my guy.

LMAO - I agree with that too. He's one to watch.

I am big into the UFC.

I don't buy the fights, but I will spend a few bucks at Hooters on a Saturday night to watch the fights.

Solid option - there and a higher end pizza sports bar in town still have them. Good when you get the gang together for some brews.

One of the best fights was 6 days ago, Dustin Poirier vs Charles Oliveira.

Did you see already? I recommend

Yes - I did. I was rooting for Dustin to finally get the strap, but it was not his night. I have not seen him have that poor of a showing before. He never really seemed in there. Charles came to fight and it was his night. Well done. Might have been Dustin's last chance, getting a 3rd chance is tough.

The real shocker for me was Amanda losing the strap. I really considered her unstoppable with the people in her division. Pena did what she said though and withstood the storm and brought it back on her. Great performance and good for the division. Needed a little shaking up!

Dominic looked good too as well as Sean. I think Cody has some real thinking to do. He is on a bad skid and does not seem to be able to find his old success.

Great card - even the early prelims had some good fights.

Check out this parlay I hit. Knew Oliveira would take that one easy. And knew Cody was a guaranteed loss. Only thing I bet on was Amanda, which I was shocked at how bad she did.

Chandler Ferguson fight will be the most exciting for sure

Agreed. Gotta' love those guys that know their press-forward style is going to get them hurt, and they just keep coming. Entertainment, for me, isn't in the win, it's in risking it all.

I agree that is one I am looking forward to as well. I have been a Justin fan since he came over, but I like Olivera as well, so I can watch that one without a clear rooting favorite and just enjoy.

Rua and Cerrone fights have potential to be good as well - you just never know. Even the Khaos Williams fight and the Fialho fight in the prelims have great potential.

Should be at LEAST a few good fights tomorrow night.

Well so much for that - Oliveria misses weight - is stripped of the belt......

How this happens for professionals is beyond me, especially at this level.

Agreed. He has missed before, but sounds like he was relying on the promotion scale at the hotel and didn't bring his own? Said he made weight the night before and went to bed and woke up heavy. Then they found out someone adjusted the promotion scale as it was showing light?

Weird deal, but either way he got it done and is next in line to get it back.

He didn't handle it in a professional way, meaning he was too close to begin with. It only cost him $2M.

274 was horrible. Rua vs OSP fight was a flop, and the women's championship fight was even worse.

Agreed - I've been looking forward to this card for a long time. Rua/OSP pretty shitty - which is not a huge shocker. Cowboy drops out. Rose fight a complete disaster. And the other 2 fights end very quickly, although in exciting fashion.

Not as great of a card as I hoped.

Islam Makhachev looked looked top of his game against Alexander Volkanovski this past Saturday when he knocked his opponent down in the first round. Who do you think would be his next opponent?

I doubt it will be Charles unless he heals fast, but Islam should have a quick recovery. Maybe Justin? Chandler trying to talk his way into it, but I don't see that happening.

Leon Edwards vs Colby Covington should be a great fight with both fighters looking very confident ahead of the this fight.
