Nice, cathartic watch as always. 0.0% chance I would EVER own a VAG product.

That Bentley is an example of poor to nonexistent maintenance and how to commit a crime with RTV. I look forward to another BMW resurrection, perhaps that E36 that he has sitting in storage.

Didn't he do one in Florida? I think he came to visit Tavarish...
That was a very quick fixup to get it on the road. There are lots of things this car needs to get into the perfect shape again :)
Besides, Sreten was promising to bring it over to Germany :)

A USA special!
I found 1 of 2 ever made BMW E31 850CSi finished in individual Santorini blue over black leather interior. It's broken, it's neglected, it's beautiful! The CSi is powered by the S70 V12 engine built by BMW Motorsport, pumping out 380 hp. Despite its low mileage of 73k miles, this rare machine needs a lot of work, and in this episode, we go over the entire condition of the car and start wrenching!

Watched this one while at work today. Love the color but damn that car needs some black accents it's just too blue.

Funny enough my girl made the exact same comment.

It's perfect to me, this is 90s-BMW aesthetic perfection before they started putting all of the shiny black plastics on the exteriors. I wouldn't change a thing about this car other than having my name on the title instead of Sreten's ;)

Looking forward to the video series on this one.

Just remember - when working on a project car, you are always one (1) 10mm bolt away from a divorce!

:D

Cool car, but there is NO WAY I would want to own one - no spare parts, no bueno!

P.S.: Good job bimmerworld.com

You wouldn't think there could be TOO much beautiful BMW blue, but you're absolutely right.

The rebuild of that hydraulic pump was absolutely epic. Never give up!

Custom machined parts, eeks.

So this car lives at Bimmerworld and he'll come stateside every so often to work on it? Interesting choice - totally fine, but interesting. I suppose it is nice to be right at the source for parts but that's a lot of flying and time away form home.

I believe he has a two week window in which he came to VA to work on it. I dont think he is going back and forth.

I was curious so I just replayed the last few minutes - "I think I'll be back. Well, I don't know when. I'm going to try and aim for June. I think I need another at least minimum two more weeks. And then I might need to come back for the third time as well and troubleshoot little things and sort out the paint."

Lots of work. I would have thought he'd send it back to himself unless he plans to sell it state-side after the videos are done.

I doubt he's ever selling something as special as that car (I wouldn't) but you never know.

I obviously can't say. But - I think he sold the red one from... France(, Marseilles?) and can probably only own so many cars (though he seems to have space for them now).

If he was keeping it, I'd think he'd ship it to himself now.

Who knows besides him.

My thinking is that he’ll ship it to himself once all the needed parts are sorted out. If they’re letting him store the car there, and parts/people are easily accessible (as opposed to having to wait for shipping parts, maybe paying duty, waiting, and having to ship speciality stuff away[more waiting]), it makes no sense to bring the car back to Germany at this point.
To me, the logistics side of things work better if it stays where it is right now. He got a TON done in two weeks, including custom parts.

But like you said, only he knows his plan. I hope he keeps it!
