Reliability of x5m/x6m owners?

For those who purchased their cars how reliable has this car been? How expensive have your repairs been, if any ? How many miles on your car?

So far good at 13 months in a 2021 X5mc at 9600 miles with no need for services outside of winter wheels and typical service intervals for oil:

except for patched tires..pirellis like to pick up everything..no maintenance needed until now ..10,000 miles

I'm 12 months in and seems reliable. Got some random rattles and creaks that drive me insane tho.

Like rattles and creaks under the glovebox, the B pillar, the rear deck and lower driver side door.

But then again I'm pretty sensitive to these sounds and none of my passengers have ever been bothered by them even when I mention it.

10 months, X5M, no problem at all.

My X6MC turns one year next month and only had one problem so far. At 4k miles, the front brake rotors were replaced for a rattling noise that happened when I applied the brakes. I do hear a squeak in the back whenever I go over rough road or bumps which I need for them to fix the next time it goes in for service.

15k Km done in 3 months - used the car quite a bit ( mixed usage city/B roads). No issues whatsoever except for one time when the entire iDrive screen went black for 5 seconds while driving and then rebooted. Other than that, the car is a tank

2020 with 15k. Tires and oil changes is all.... loving it every time I get in and fire up the engine.

I have a 2020 X5MC with less than 10,000 miles, purchased June 2020...no problems, other than the huge smile on my face every time I drive it! :dance:

2021 X5MC with 13k miles on it. No issues at all. And I don't drive it conservatively at all! Only thing is the tires in the front is wearing a little unevenly for me.

The extra money that you'll most likely spend is on gas. The beast is thirsty.

Thank you for these responses. I’m looking at the M50i too. I’m an FNG and know very little about BMW compared to others on here. I see one nearby at 85k. But it’s been a demo w 121 miles on it. That’s a chunk of change to spend on something that at least once was used to re enact the Dukes of Hazard stunts. My research continues. And thanks again!

I have no problem with my X6MC, but brake squealing; too much brake dust.

Each time I wash her, it'll be gone a day or two then the squealing returns. Gosh... hate this sound.

I hope M Division can solve this brake/brake pads/brake dust issue soon. I'm sure this is not limited to X6MC, but all Ms....

21k km owning for a year no problems at all and I drive everyday like I stole it just I take care all time to put only top fuel and not push hard until oil is 100C

I did with Michelin PS4 around 23k km and I think I can do another 10k km.

In my case rear are more wearing due to 4wd sport…fronts are ok
