Torminator wroteI didn't measure the wheel gap before/after but it definitely close to an inch and a half I would imagine. I had my alignment done after a few weeks and maybe 200 miles or so. I'm lucky if I drive the truck 100 miles a week though. The coils are on the west setting?I just installed MSS springs on my X5 x40i about two weeks ago and only dropped .16. Sales rep said after 500 miles it should settle to the advertised drop of 1-1.5. Do you believe after you put some miles on the springs this was accomplished?

Sethsubzero wroteThinking about doing the same to my 40i. Did you have any issues with clunking or squeaking after driving it for a while? I had lowered my x4m on two different kits (not H&R) and had issues with both.Got my H&R springs thanks to another forum member and had them installed yesterday. Took a couple quick pics right after the install. Overall I love the look as it makes the vehicle look far more sporty and less like a soccer mom SUV. I'm hoping the front will settle little more as I feel like it looks more aggressive in the back. It tucks my 23's really well. I rolled the dice with them and didn't go down in tire profile when I upsized my new wheels, but they haven't rubbed at all yet - front or rear. I'm running 325/30/23 Pirelli's on the rear and 285/35/23 on the front. Loving the new look!
DGPM3 wroteI did after the H&R install but it was an improperly torqued bolt on the lower arm. Once that was resolved, so far so good. Very happy.Thinking about doing the same to my 40i. Sethsubzero wroteVery nice looking I have these on order and my dilemma for ordering. These is more of the ride quality is too soft. I feel the car has a lot of body roll . DGPM3 wroteNo issues with sound but rude comfort was compromised some. Not sure I’ll be doing them to my 2024 M60i on order.Thinking about doing the same to my 40i. ApexG5 wroteOff topic, but what front splitter is that? And what color car? I like both. Thanks.Just had mine installed and made a world of difference for me. Ride quality is great and just stiff enough.
5ive7even wroteHolly Smokes she looks sooooo GOOD. Nice work. I have the same color and all the same parts in route (22" Vossen black wheels, rear wing, mirror caps, front splitter) awesome to get a glimpse of what my own car will look like in a month or so!Had H&R lowering springs installed today. Overall drop was 1.25 inches. Ride quality is great with just a bit more stiffness (also went from 20"s to 22"s at the same time). There doesn't seem to be as much body roll during cornering which is great. Overall, very happy so far with the change.
What tires did you go with for your 22" wheels?
xxx5phev wroteThanks! You will love it. I can't believe how the mods have transformed both the looks and driving feel/handling of the X5. It feels so much more planted to the road and I don't feel like it wallows in the turns nearly as much now. The ride is just right. Compliant without feeling mushy or too harsh.Holly Smokes she looks sooooo GOOD. Nice work. I bought the 22"s used from someone locally. They have Conti summer tires on it now. I will likely go with the Arroyo Grand Sport All Seasons later this summer. I also have a set of black HRE FF10's in 22" on backorder so haven't decided whether I'll cancel that order, keep both sets, etc. I'm leaning towards selling the 20" M-Sports that came with the car and keeping the 742s and FF10s but we'll see.
