I think this cool German watch brand deserves a thread here and that's why I have decided to post a thread dedicated to this brand .
I love their design , I have not owned a Sinn as of yet but I want to buy as well .
They really make robust ,solid , hard watches without breaking the bank and use nothing but SWISS MADE movements in their timepieces .
They also use tegimented submarine grade steel in their watches too . I don't think that's a marketing strategy to boost up their sales but rather about to stress out as to how hard they think and commit to make robust watches

Really cool watches! Have only seen pics online. I have to see these in person before I would consider one. I thought I liked some Oris models, but in person they were terribly cheap looking.

Take a look at Damasko watches too, they're also German and pretty 'bomb' proof too.

This!
Sinn 144, Tutima 5100, Orfina Porsche Design and a very rare Tengler watch.
All in all similar looking but unique at its own, you'll see the German weekday into the window.

Sinn 856 UTC, top dead center.

It's my "work watch"/daily.

I'm going on vacation to Singapore and the Maldives next month, and we decided to go home via Frankfurt (and, flying around the world is always fun).

I talked my wife into staying there an extra day so I can go to the Sinn factory showroom.

It only cost me the promise of dinner at a Michelin restaurant to get her to agree. :D

This thread would be incomplete without talking about legendary EZM 1 and its other variants as well. My favorite is EZM 1.1S .

I used to own a U1 and it was a great watch, kept great time and was built like a tank. I ended up selling it and buying something else (that I've since sold. Lol). If I bough another, I'd probably go with another U1 or the exact watch posted above, the 556a.

I intend to purchase a Sinn 103 Column Wheel Titanium DIAPAL on Bracelet. I recently tried one on at the Sinn store in Frankfurt City, but they had none for sale.

Whoops-- I'd forgotten about this thread.....

Last month, I ended up flying around the world on vacation and ended up in Frankfurt for a few days.

I wasn't planning on going to the big Sinn store as it was about 30 minutes away and I was with my wife and our friends sightseeing for the day. Ditching them would have been.... unwise from a relationship perspective.

Anyhow, we're in a church square near the River Main when my wife tells me to turn around. There was another Sinn store right in front of me.

Since the watch band on my 856UTC is getting a bit worn, I figured I'd go and get a replacement.

While I was there, I saw a display with four multi-colored 556's. Before I'd left the states, I'd gotten an email from Sinn saying that they were a limited edition of 400 each-- and that they were sold out globally pretty much immediately after they went up for sale.

I took a few pictures of the colored-dial 556's and told the sales lady that it was a shame they were sold out as I'd loved the orange one as soon as I'd seen it. But, with only 400 worldwide, there was no chance for me to ever get one.

Her response? "We might have.... one left."

Her and the other lady there did a bunch of digging, and eventually came back with the last non-demo orange 556 that hadn't been sold-- still in it's original packaging.

My wife's response while this was all happening? "If they find it, buy it. Merry Christmas."

So, it came home with me-- One of 400 is engraved on the back of the watch. On the other plus side, I was able to get the VAT refunded at the airport and didn't have to pay any Customs Duty on the watch coming home.

I'm pretty stoked as orange is my favorite color. I'd actually shown my wife the email before we left and told her that they were impossible to get.

I got a cool hardbound catalog and coffee mug out of the deal as well.

R.

Thats very cool and really a bargain for your collection. If you had chimed in before, I had few turnarounds in Frankfurt last week, were surely time for having a cup of coffee to my expenses ;)

Sinn EZM 13.1 .
This watch is one of my most fave models ever made by Sinn. It does feature a chronograph in addition to EZM 3 Series and achieves 500 Meters Water Resistance without screw up buttons .
