Hi there,
Has anyone tried these SHW disc?
Here is what I have found so far on sizes.

X5 M50i Front Disc
395x36

X5 M50i Rear Disc
370x24

So, FCP Euro has the rear as 380x28. Not sure if because it will also fit, not big of the difference.

I also know that people in here said that the rotors from the X3M will fit so here is a picture too and the front are the same and rear the correct 370x24.

Should I go for the 380x28 or 370x24 on the rear? Thanks

I am working on the same thing. What did you find out?

34118054826  (front RH) BFR43502
34118054827  (rear LH) BRL43503

Here you go; these work perfectly on my M50i and as you know the set screw won’t work. These prices are from May 2025 and they went up considerably.

I too want to do cross drilled rotors. What year is your M50i? I also want to change pads at the same time to ceramics that don't produce as much brake dust. Any recommendations?

The front rotors on the M60i are the same size at the X5M (395/36), though you won't be able to secure rotor to the wheel hub as the bolt positions are different.

Rears are different, and I haven't done much exploration on the equivalent pairing outside of just upgrading to the M brake system.

There are a few options for the M50i and you can search to see the discussions, but I landed on the Powerstop ceramic (you can get them on RockAuto). I haven't been able to get them on yet but generally reviewed as a little less bite than OEM with significantly less brake dust.

You are confusing the set screw that doesn’t match; the lug bolts are perfectly fine. The rotors part numbers I posted above are fine for the G05.

I have done many retrofit to X3M rotors with iSweep pads.
The brake pads on M50i and M60i are the same as X3M. :)

Cool I'll check out the iSweep pads. What about squeeling. I'm hoping changing the pads might also get rid of this as well. It's to the point it's embarassing. I don't hear any other BMWs do this coming to a stop. It's incredibly loud.

Ben at RG Sports did the retrofit on my 2019 50i a few weeks ago with SHW cross drilled rotors, iSweep 1500 pads and M sport brake calipers. It stops hard when you need to and no squeals so far. :happyanim:

I just ordered these today and I think I will pair them with the Powerstop pads. I'm sure the dust will be a fraction of what it is now and will likely eliminate the squeeling.

Good info! I will swap to cross drilled once mine need replacement.

Any weight savings going from the m50/m60i oem rotors to the X3M two piece drilled?

It should, since it is drilled and 2pcs design rotors. It would be minimal though.
You’ll gain performance and looks for the most part.

I've paid for and tried bimmer link to put the parking brake in service mode but I get a message "service mode not activated please try again". I did hear the ~5 sec noise as it seemed to fully retract, but I still get the message that service mode failed to activate. Any advice? Should I be concerned or just go ahead with the rear brakes?

Sometime it will give you that error. Just activate and de-activate it again.

Do these also fit 40i with m sport brakes?

Send me your VIN, I'll check. 40i have 2 different M Sport brake sizing.
