I have this computer more or less:
https://www.dbcscomputer.ca/product/acer-aspire-e1-572p-intel-core-i3-4th-gen-1-70ghz-6gb-ddr3-240gb-ssd-15in-720p-touchscreen-windows-10-notebook-reconditioned/

and it has 3 USB ports. The one by itself on the left side is always fine but the 2 on the right side (where I plug in my USB keyboard and USB mouse) sometimes dies on me, so that my keyboard and mouse no longer works. I can only 'fix' this by restarting my computer, until the next time it happens.

I'm not good w computer but entered Device Manager and it seems to recognize both devices when I plug them in, says "device is working properly" but obviously they don't. They supposedly have the most updated drivers.

I plugged in a portable USB drive to test both ports and they recognize and can access the drive's directory, so it's definitely not a hardware prb and something to do w the communication between my USB keyboard/USB mouse and the computer that gets 'triggered' while I'm using the computer. If helpful, the laptop's keyboard and mousepad always work.

I'm stumped...any help from the IT experts here?
