S68 X5MC wroteThis is so much better than double sided tape, but the only way to be sure is to add the odd screw alongside it.I don't want to screw into the bumper, so I found the next best thing. I've seen many people use it without isse and I'm wondering whoelsse has done the same.

Seriously, all fixing points are under the bumper and you really don't need to add a dozen - just a few and they can always be filled and touched up, even though you would never see them.
S68 X5MC wroteI’ve never used that stuff but it says it’s a permanent bond. I personally wouldn’t install a front lip without screws, but don’t let that stop you. Plus, if it indeed is a permanent bond, what if the lip gets cracked….wouldn’t it be a pain to try and remove (as opposed to removing a few screws)?I don't want to screw into the bumper, so I found the next best thing. The suv is filthy from the recent weather and I thought I'd throw this on before we get snow....here....in Florida. 😆
S68 X5MC wroteSorry to revive an old thread. It looks realllly good! It needs a lip. Looks so much more aggressive.Yeah, it needed it.
I was torn for the same reason you were- the side wings. Have they grown on you? Waiting on my x5m to arrive, and the only other option I like is a 2600 carbon lip- but no carbon on these so don’t wanna go down that rabbit hole.
Easy install? A lot of new holes? Or did you end up going adhesive route?
Vinnrox250 wroteI still look at options without the wings, but nothing I like so far. I used self tapping screws in some spots and the rest I removed the stock screws holding the lower bumper cover on, drilled holes in the lip and installed in the oem location. Pretty easy stuff.Sorry to revive an old thread. It looks realllly good! It needs a lip. Looks so much more aggressive.

S68 X5MC wroteI’ve been looking, cause like you, the wings aren’t my fav, but it does look good. I have not found anything else in gloss black I really like. I’m looking at a carbon one and a buddy says paint it. That’s craziness though. Solid, okay. I’ve just seen some lips and their mounting points/fitment has been questionable. Thank you!! Cheff Glizzok wroteAny other images of the colour-coded parts? I'm keen to see the side skirts too. Also went with the Maxton lip and side skirts, but had to get them paint matched — makes the world of a difference.
