Skilly wroteGoing to need to see a pic of that.I just had a 10/24 update pushed to my 2024 X5M
weinerbarn wrotegood call out - the push came to me as the new owner this month but assumed the build date. Just checked and its a 7/2024 release.Going to need to see a pic of that.
weinerbarn wroteMay I ask, where did you get this information?07/2024 but 11/2024 should be at dealers within next week or so. You may or may not get an OTA update.
pegogetem wroteI follow some forums that post software as it becomes available, which it did today. But based upon a few years of history, BMW releases software 3 times a year ... on March, July and November. The software is almost always released about a week before the release month to dealers. This just means that dealers have the latest fixes and updates if they need to flash a vehicle manually. The OTA updates are pushed to vehicles as BMW decides they need them and it also varies geographically. Some vehicles like older iDrive 7 may not get updates pushed OTA for months or years after they are released, if at all. It's pretty much a guarantee that OTA updates are the previous release .. example now that 11/2024 is out, the OTA for 07/2024 will start making its way out globally.May I ask, where did you get this information?

Skilly wroteN/A for iDrive 7 as that is what this thread is about…I just had a 10/24 update pushed to my 2024 X5M
i just recently updated my wife’s MY23 G30 via OTA to 07/2024.30 (iDrive 7) a couple weeks ago, though I never got that version pushed to my MY21 G05 (iDrive7) which is still running 11/2023.50
that said, i don’t think iDrive 7 users will be seeing any more OTA updates being pushed to us going forward (?unless absolutely critical?). you may get a manual update to the latest version at the dealer should it be required for a service-related visit though
nZtiZia wroteI have just reached someone who is working at the dealer and confirmed me the following:N/A for iDrive 7 as US is what this thread is about…

- MU21-22-23 are going to be a sunset.
Meaning last update will be 03-02-03/2024.
And no further updates will be released.
TBH my only concern was the Active cruise control to be improved and more accurate.
Cuz when i first got the car the ACC was shit.
And at this stage its stable.
Also idk why people posting about iDrive 8 where I clearly asked for 7 😂
pegogetem wroteYes. This is from current version of ISTA programming data.So 11/2024 is out? Many are waiting on the version to fix an eSIM headache.
weinerbarn wroteYou’re awesome and very credible ✨✨Yes. This is from current version of ISTA programming data.
Current is 03/2023 I think. So I am going to install that. Any difference in the newer software? I guess my 2024 will come in 2026😅
Terras14 wroteIf you want to find out what the release notes are for any given version. Here's the format. Keep in mind this is for USA and each region has different timelines for release.I guess mine is slow. I just got notification to install 11/2023.50

Change the date format in the URL to the release version you want .... so for 03/2023, use /ReleaseNotes_2303_US.pdf
Similarly for other regions like Singapore, you can always go to the BMW Remote Software Update page on the website and do the same thing as described above for different releases.

rmorin1249 wroteI think with new software, all coding are deleted. Got to redo.My dealer installed 07/2024 during a recent visit for the starter software recall. Deleted the ability to code ASS to stay off unless you use Sport mode.

My experience is that it doesn’t seem to follow the speed of the car in front all that well meaning it never maintains a steady gap (either closes to much or backs off too much causing a bit of a yo-yo effect), it breaks late from experience as well which gives me anxiety!
Terras14 wroteUnless something has changed recently with BimmerCode, you can no longer disable ASS once the latest iDrive software is installed. This is the reason I've purposely not updated to the newer iDrive software. I'm sure the dealer will do it during some future service campaign, at which point I'll have to deal with it.I think with new software, all coding are deleted. Got to redo.
When the coding no longer works, I've read that the best way to keep ASS disabled is to change the default driving mode to Sport Individual and the car will always start in that mode with ASS turned off. You can configure Sport Individual to you liking, or set it up like Comfort Mode and never deal with ASS again.
