I purchased the paint matched reflector deletes from IND for the front and rear of my 2025 50e. I took them to the body shop to have them switched out, they quickly installed the rears without issue, but they said they couldn't switch out the fronts that day.

They said in order to the do the front reflectors, they would need to take off the front bumper, which would then require having all of the electronics recalibrated by a 3rd party, so very costly.

For those of you that have done this modification, has this been your experience? I'm not going to tackle this myself, just curious if I need to find another shop.

I would return the fronts to IND and buy some color matched film at
https://lamin-x.com/

Ordered. Thanks for the link.

I purchased the 3m Gloss Black vinyl and did it myself. It took 15 minutes to do both sides. It was super easy.

I don't see color matched options, only different tints. I'll keep looking, thanks!

Just got mine done yesterday, no problem installing, the shop went through the fender well and got them in within an hour. No bumper removal needed.

I think color matched is the way to go.

I tried color matching but unless I buy the painted markers it seems impossible. I don’t want the body shops around here scratching my bumper pulling the car apart to instal.

So I went this route instead-

Nice contrast, thanks for sharing.

Are your rear reflectors paint matched? My rears have been replaced, makes a big difference.

yup, you do

it takes 20-30 minutes each side. easiest access if you take off the front wheels but not required (I just turned them inward)

unfortunately I went back to stock for both front and rear reflectors due to violations on state inspections (Virginia). the rears are super easy, but the fronts weren’t worth the effort to change twice a year every year

What brand did you go with here? Trying to decide between the IND color matched or doing something like this.

Laminex is the manufacturer. They come pre cut and fit almost perfectly

Rears were stupid eaay. Fronts….def require more effort.

Had extra Carbon Fiber vinyl laying around, so doing a trial run with it on.
Can't decide if I should keep or add vinyl smoke on it.

I did it myself - maybe 1.5 hrs via the wheels wells. Not easy, but not super difficult either. Just be comfortable using a heat gun.

Do the G05 rear markers fit G06 as well?

Hi All, first post here. I recently purchased a 2023 X5 and I bought the IND paint matches front reflector deletes. I’m living temporarily in the Bay Area (Palo Alto side) and I’m wondering if anyone knows a shop that would help me install these without charging an arm and a leg. I reached out to some, but only one response and they are charging 2.5 hours of labor to remove the bumper - which seems unnecessary ($600 for install total, ouch). Any shop recommendations in the area would be so great!

Have you thought about trying it on your own? It is not very difficult .. took me about 1.5 hours to do both.

I followed the IND video …

Just a thought if you want to save $ on the labor.

Good luck!!
