After my accident in june last year where somebody drove me of the road and the car was total loss (BMW F15 40E) I finally found a new one i got end of february (BMW G05 45E) had a great deal car is from end 2021 has 33000 km, not all the options i wanted but a lot, colour als made the desicion.

Meantime i allready did some changes, removed the badges. Since the car has allround shadowline i put a shadowline blaxk X5 badge

Next i removed the doorpanels and then the hifi speaker covers and replaced the speakers and covers with B&W. Was a lot of work but love the result.

Next step since its hifi but to do a full B&W is beside the fact the car needs total rewiring super expensive. So descided to do a hifi to HK retrofit. Since you can fdl code B&W setup which gives a quality boost to HK (dont expect the same as B&W but still)

But have some problems there cant find the correct part numbers for my car for the reciever and booster. Asked the dealer for a partnumber list with the numbers that would fit my car but they say that this is impossible to do :lol:

So as long as i dont have the correct nr the reciever and booster is on hold

Next week i will start my next retrofit since HK is paused. wireless charging and the heatred/cooled cupholders.

Almost have all the parts, next week ill go get the 2 missing parts from dealer to start.

Reason is the the previous owner descided to take the display key as option also have the keycard, but then doesnt take the wirless charging option.

The retrofit of both wireless charging (6NW) and thermoelectric cupholders (44A) is done. Everything installed, wired, coded and tested.

Upgrade from hifi to harman kardon is also finnished. Added 2 speakers, 4 tweeters, booster and changed reciever to high version.

After the 6NW retrofit, i had a problem. The option has 2 microphones, 1 driver and 1 passenger side. My car had a cover on both sides but only one micro on driver side. This resulted in an error in the RAM. Took me a while to find the correct cable, cause there is no repaircable for this and this also needs to be a shielded cable that is long enough to go from the passenger side all the way to the trunk.

The funniest part was offcourse to get it from the passenger side to the trunk :mad0259:

But i did it, connect 3 wires to the RAM, pluged the connector in the micro, used ista and error was gone

Today i did the instal of the crafted clarity

Holders for sub arrived today, i allready had 1 sub so put it together. Didn't have time to install it in the car yet

Wow, very impressive work, especially the coding.
I’m guessing the twin microphones are for sound stage measurement for the stereo rather than for a passenger to join in with phone calls

they both are speaking micros, so yes its so that the passenger can talk to when there is a phonecall. Since you can connect more then 1 phone at the same time

Descided on some new updates:
- lci tail lights
- full spoiler kit (front, side, rear, roof and trunk)

Lci tail lights look way better then the pfl, only downside bmw is not planning to make a retrofit like they did for the g30. So only posibility is aftermarket. Im curious about the quality and result
