Just surprised nothing has happened being that is next week. Would have thought by now it would have either moved to 150 or the genius line would be saying a different week number. Strange.

I knew the individual color option was going to add time back when I placed the order in March, but I hadn't anticipated approaching 6 months without it even being in production or a final production date. So it looks like individual color orders are indeed happening on week 40. I am just glad it is finally moving along.

There probably is a rhyme or reason to their individual paint production schedule we just don't know what that is. It would be cool if they look at at my order and go, "hey, there's a dude in the PNW having a Melbourne red painted next week, let's squeeze this one in GA in at the same time!!"Nice! There is no rhyme or reason on how BMW pulls in the individual color orders. There are certain weeks they do runs and if you are lucky and there is space you may get into the next run. However individual color orders do take a bit as even though your dealer has an allocation and basically the individual color options for the X5s are pre-approved it still needs to go through the process of the dealer submitting the individual order request to BMW for the allocation and then BMW approving it. Once it is approved you will see in the order tracker that you have a special order color.

And that was not an option offered by BMW. I will get them powder coated black like I did my M340 after I get it.
