So what are your predictions?

After the last race in Barcelona McLaren showed their massive dominance.
There is news from both Red Bull and Mercedes that development of their car the rest of the year will be minimal and that all efforts will be focussed on 2026 with the new rules and engines.
The battle who wins 2025 will be between Norris and Piastri. But that doesn't mean the other battles won't be interesting and entertaining.
And will we see the classic team mate clash for #1 like we have seen in the past between for example HAM&ROS or SEN&PRO. That would be something.

This is my prediction for the Canadian GP:
1. NOR
2. PIA
3. VER
4. RUS
5. LEC
6. HAM
7. ANT
8. HAD
9. ALB
10. SAI

For people who don't place predictions: please refrain from giving negative comments after the race on predictions other members have given. Nobody makes perfect predictions, and if you don't make predictions yourself, you're not showing you know better.

Unless RB can apply some planned rear brake/tyre cooling magic, whichever way they do it, then it may look like another papaya walk over.
Then
4. LEC
5. HAD (Looks like heading for RB main team very soon
6. RUS (''Concentrate George' :D
7. SAI
8. ALB
9. HAM
10. ANT

Here goes nothing:

1. Oscar
2. Lando
3. Charles
4. Max
5. Gigi
6. Kimi
7. Alex or Carlos
8. Whoever you want

I've done 19 Canadian GP's at the Ile Notre Dame...Kubica"s 2008 win was one of the best!

Merc thinks it will be a beast in 2026? Not according to RBR and Ford.

Phase Change Materials, PCM's in the brake ducts are likely all the McLarens are using to cool brakes and therefore the rear tyres. It's used in some industrial applications.

Well, I think the best one was the 2011 race.

We were on the starting line, gift for the wife, back then it was $500 for 3 days VIP tickets.

Because Montréal Grand Prix is one of the drivers favourite one, they just din't want to stop the race.

On the last lap Button pass Vettel at Turn Five and there rest is history.

What’s your favourite spot around the track to take in the action?

For us, it's grandstand 11. Turn 1 is an "outbrake your opponent" passing opportunity. It and turn 2 are referred to as "the Senna S". This spot also is a good vantage spot of the exit of the pits...making it easier to follow the race.
Right now I'm in the recovery phase of a kidney transplant so won't be in attendance...maybe next year.

We're sitting down by the hairpin this year. Section 12.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, 3798j's user avatar3798j. Verstappen or Piastri speedy, if possible. ;)

A great spot indeed! I’m a fan of grandstand 12.

Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery.

Bad news for the Red Bull and MAX fans , as I said in my post above ..

Red Bull stops the RB21 updates and gives up the 2025 title fight (!)
The Red Bull priority is from now on the 2026 RB22 car , and I'm pretty sure MAX already knew it at the Barcelona GP that's why his race was actually a reflection from all his frustrations at the track ..

I think both 11 and 12 are pretty much equal vantage spots. Twelve does have the advantage of seeing the cars accelerate out and away from turn 2.
Not my photo but we've sat there too.
As for you and Artemis's user avatarArtemis wishing me a good recovery, thanks to both of you. So far so good...getting accustomed to the anti-rejection meds and thankful for getting an excellent kidney...my wife's (she's a saint).
Wanted to add...We enjoy our visits to your beautiful city very much...always a great time!

Inderdaad .

YES (!) :happyanim:
This would maybe be the best pairing we have seen since Senna/Prost and might be even better depending on what they'd be able to achieve.
