NUkid wroteThe shop that does my tint and PPF originally thought they would be able to swap them out without removing the bumper. Turns out that they ended up needing to remove the bumper. They ended up only changing me $100 to do it. There has been no issues with any of the sensors. Happy I had it done.I bought the IND painted front reflectors on my 26 50e. Took it to my tint guy that did the same operation on my 21 540i. He tinted my front windows and returned the car to me and said he believed he would have to vitually remove the front bumper to get to them and recommended I take it to the dealer as a result of all the sensors. Any one else trying this mod have any issues like this. I don’t even know if the dealer would do it and the cost would be prohibitive.
IND has a video that I followed and I was able to do both sides in about an hour.
It involves removing the fender trim and part of the fender lining.
Pretty straightforward if you want to DIY. Important to clean any adhesive well to ensure the new piece is flush.

The clips must be broken on the liner (buy clips and gun and harbor freight), then use s heat gun, be super careful with this since you do not want to damage the paint on the other side. The pull the old one, make sure that you remove all the glue left behind, clean the area and then install the new one. I aligned it to the top part of the gap - so the balance is at the bottom part.I have a 22’ X5 M50 and was able to complete the installation of the Front Reflector delete without removing the bumper.
