I finally reached a point in life where I could afford an X5 and picked up this 2022 model locally. I have liked BMWs for a long time. My brother works at the factory in South Carolina and has not missed a chance to show off the ones he drives.

After the purchase, I found this forum to learn more about this model. I appreciate the information everyone shares.

Welcome to the club. Great choice buying used and the 3 yr old model is the sweet spot in the depreciation scale.

I love having a '22. I was looking for used back in 2024, and for me, the 2022 model year was the sweet spot for G05: pre-LCI, lots of physical buttons, mature tech, and good reliability. Gave up fog lamps and remote rear seat release levers due to COVID parts reductions, but honestly it's been fine without those.
