Just browsing the X5 forums and saw this. I would highly recommend getting a tune from sutphin tuning or at least contacting him for options. I was able to flash his tune and avoid XHP all together on my M3. I have an x3 with xHP and need to get his tune on it as well. Some of their tunes are only offered via xHP but worth a shot to find out. Anyways the maps on xHP are just “ok”. The custom tune is much more crisp and better all around. He knows these transmissions and works magic!

I went ahead and bought xHP tune for my x5 after i tuned with bm3 all i can say is don't hesitate it's worth every penny and it's amazing the difference in the tuned transmission should've came from the factory this way

The one thing I can say is, should have came from the factory this way in regards to shifting it doesn't even feel like the same car very quick and very smooth higher rev . I put xHP stage 2 on, drove it one day and it's never been back out due to snow so that's as much as I can elaborate at the moment but I definitely wouldn't hesitate. I also unlocked my ECU femto unlock and I put bootmod3 stage 1 93 octane that's right at 400 hp from 335 hp stock . I also have an active auto work downpipe I'm gonna change out then I can go to stage 2/ 93 octane that will be around 450 hp Make sure you order the dongle or it won't install
