Hi,

I have a X5 40i from 2019 and I am going to install a 200 cell catted downpipe. Which is the best type of O2 sensor spacer to avoid CELs?

- Best dimensions?
- 45°, 90°, 180°...?
- With or without mini catalytic converter?
- With or without strainer?

For a 2019 the straight mini cat should work.

I have read that the mini cat restricts the flow too much and set slow response codes, thats why it needs to be removed. I have also read that for decat downpipes a 55mm spacer is recommended and a 35mm spacer for high flow downpipes.

I have also read the opposite, that the 35mm spacer without minicat on high flow downpipes throws a CEL

From what I have read there are contradictory opinions

Yea, I am waiting for a tune myself so I don't need to deal with the spacer thing, it really is such a headache.

I have a high flow 200 cell VRSF installed, and 34mm did not work for me, have a few more coming by end of week, was supposed to pass IL emissions last week but I'll update once I have one that works.

I have a 2022 x5 b58 using active auto work dp 200 cell .. no cel light using original oxygen sensors transferred over from original DP .. if you're running an unlocked ECU your software if the light came on you would be able to turn it off from the software permanently
