Phizzzle wroteAgreed, this would be my suggestion also.No. I can't see why anyone would do that considering carbon fiber is an extra cost option. Maybe someone else can chime in on that. Perhaps put a matte carbon fiber overlay over it?
Having said that, I have the aluminium crossline trim on my X5M, and I am looking to wrap it in satin/matte carbon fibre. I'm not a fan of the glossy CF when paired with Adelaide Grey interior.
Tlon wroteI had matte PPF put on the shiny carbon fiber trim in my x5, very happy with the results.I am getting closer to purchasing an X6 M60i. I thought I wanted the carbon fiber trim, but I drove it this weekend and was surprised at how shiny it is. Has anyone tried to take the shine down a notch or two with scotchpads or similar?
Tlon wrotePlease do not take a scotch pad to your carbon..that’s insanity. Vinyl wrap, ppf as memtioned, tint film, or soon I’m sure 3M tape overlay kits will be available.I am getting closer to purchasing an X6 M60i.
