2000cs wroteWell, got a reminder today's the day to make my 1st of 4 estimated tax payments. If you are able to find the slightest joy in income taxes then carry on!
Sat down to write out check and add other info to the check and knowing afterwards I'd have to go to the post office to buy postage with a tracking number and noticed a link on the estimated tax form to pay online.
Went to the IRS online payment site and made a payment.
Then found the Arkansas online payment site and made a payment.
Those beautiful printed envelopes are destined for the shredded.
But I'm compensated for the loss of the envelopes by not having to write out the check and go to the post office to mail the payments.
After 10 years Turbo tax finally pissed me off enough to switch. I had a 25% off coupon that was specific for this tax return. Long story short It was from them last year because I had issues and had to restart my taxes.
Well it wouldn't work. And after contacting them twice in March, they finally gave me a new discount code. Except it was only for 15%. I messaged them and they told me the best they could do was 20%.
I told them to keep it, and I switched to FreeTaxUsa. I used all the info from Turbo Tax to make the freetaxusa return only take me about 30 minutes to compete.
