Shill bidders, fake buyers and circular financing, no surprise from car dealers.

As long as there is one born every minute, the dance continues.

Exactly. There are so many unsophisticated impulse/"need latest toy now" buyers at this end of the market. The whole thing is a house of cards, waiting for even a mild economic downturn to stop the music and make it all crash down.

You need to understand how Porsche dealers operate. Here's a nice screenshot of a thread from rennlist. This is now happening with Mclaren Sennas, 488 Pistas, and a few other cars that you've seen "explode" in value from other actors in the Exotic space following the same model.

Here's the whole thread if you want a read:

Holy crap!!!! That explains a lot. God bless the guy that dug into this.

The latest gen 911 GTS, that I spend a day on track instructing in, sounds great, performs incredibly and is anything but emotionless. I even think it is a much better engine than the screaming torqueless NA boxers.
No doubt these late model 911 turbos are SERIOUS performers. Performance wise, they do everything exceptionally well. The new 911 GTS is one of the best late model and well sorted sports cars you can buy for the money. The single turbo plus electric turbo plus hybrid drivetrain is a marvel. I cannot fathom how expensive that motor will be to service and repair. So complex. Though not my thing, Porsche did nail it with the drivetrain and have proven how to apply all this new performance tech.

I gotta disagree with the "sounds great" statement though. The sound symposer and fake engine noise pumped over the speakers is largely what you're hearing. These turbo 911s sound pretty terrible exhaust wise. Always have in comparison to the NA motors. I will say the single turbo GTS does sound better than the twin turbo models though.

I should qualify with "sounds great for a boxter" engine. I never liked the flat 6 sound compared to a good V8 or I6. German cars, in general, have been made to sound so muted. That 911GTS did have decent sound volume, at least.
