Lets raise a pint for the folks that make Auto Racing possible!

The $15m benefit F1 gets from its volunteers
As a volunteer marshal attending 2/3 of the USA F1 races (Miami and Las Vegas), and in the past attending the USA F1 race each year before there were 3.

I can say that over the years, I have thought "The F1 should reimburse me for all my expenses to marshal a race". F1 actually does not put any money toward the marshals,
the Promoter of the race does (COTA owners, Miami Owners, Liberty for the Las Vegas Race).
We typically get a decent hotel discount, 2 or 3 meals a day, depending on the promoter (at least 2 meals/day), swag, transportation to the circuit (although at O Dark Thirty), and one of the best seats in the house.

I certainly am not marshaling for the money, and even though an event can cost the equivalent of a nice vacation, it is an experience and the marshal social atmosphere is great.
Marshaling also provided the opportunity to attend races outside of the USA. I have been to Montreal twice, the Dutch GP last year, and planning
to go this year.
There are US marshals that travel farther and more often than I do to foreign races (Baku, Singapore, Australia, Spa), and some of the European marshals travel to the US races,
they say the atmosphere and people are more enjoyable to work with.

It's just 3 races so don't raise your hopes too high for your yellow team, you sound as if you're just wanting MAX to be behind the Larens rather than fighting for the championship. He finished ahead of one of them last year while both your papaya should have walked it.
Ah yes, last year. That was special.
RBR didn't have a good car then...this year's looks worse.

OOPS, "swing and a miss"

Why Red Bull Has Put an F1 Car on the Madrid Subway Tracks

If you were commuting through the Spanish capital this week, you might have noticed a slight delay on the metro. And if you checked social media to find out why, you were probably met with a highly confusing viral image: a full-blown Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car parked directly on the subway tracks of the Madrid Metro.

While internet commentators were quick to joke that the championship-winning team had finally gone off the rails, the stunt was actually a highly calculated, literal piece of marketing. It wasn’t a mistake, it was the unofficial kickoff to the brand-new era of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Thing is you never know what Wolff will attempt to do, he can turn on his word if there is even the slightest sniff of netting MAX.

Four people you would never choose for a financial adviser:
1) Toto Wolff
2) Zak Brown
3) Christian Horner
4) Flavio Briatore

I TRUST you get where I'm going here?
