I finally pulled the trigger on a much-needed brake upgrade for my X5 M60i, and after a trip to RG Sport today, I wanted to share the results with the community.
The Setup:
I went with a combination focused on both performance aesthetics and daily drivability:
Rotors: SHW X3M/X4M Cross-Drilled Rotors (Front & Rear)
Pads: iSweep 2000 Low Dust Pads
The Install Experience
I worked with Ben at RG Sport, and the experience was top-notch. If you’ve ever tried to DIY brakes on these heavy M-performance SAVs, you know it can be a chore, but Ben made the entire process look easy.

Efficiency:
He had the car in and out in just over 2 hours.
Quality: It’s clear he has the specific tools and deep experience with the BMW platform to do the job right the first time.

Initial Impressions

Look:
The cross-drilled SHW rotors look significantly more aggressive than the stock blanks. They fill out the wheels beautifully and give the M60i that "true M" visual punch.
Feel:
The pedal feel is excellent. The iSweep 2000s provide a very linear, predictable bite that feels great for spirited daily driving without the "on/off" switch feel some ceramic pads can have.
The Dust Factor:
While I haven't put hundreds of miles on them yet, the primary goal was reducing the relentless BMW brake dust. So far, the difference is night and day compared to the OEM pads.
Recommendation
If you’re in the LA or Orange County area and looking to upgrade your stopping power (or just save your wheels from a layer of black soot every three days), I highly recommend giving Ben at RG Sport a call.

Looks great!
I'll be doing the same one day in the near future!

seconded for Ben at RGsports. All work on my 50i was done here as well as the SHW drilled rotors and M50i calipers retrofit as well.

How smooth overall is the braking compared to oem rotors and pads? Does it make any noises at all or is it just super smooth and silent?

They’ve been great. Super smooth and quiet. No noise at all. Excellent feel and super low dust as well.

That's good as I've been wanting to replace my oem brake setup as every time I come to a stop it makes noise and its gotten kinda annoying.

Any tests 60-0? Other than look interested to see if there’s any performance differences.

I’ve bought stuff off of Ben in the past and he’s been super helpful with additional questions I’ve sent over, even when not purchasing anything. I just wish he was closer to me, the savings fund would certainly be a lot lighter though!

I haven't tested it yet. I think the biggest performance gain would be from repeated hard braking since it should dissipate heat faster. I can tell you they feel great and that there is significantly less brake dust.

Cost was also very reasonable with it being equal to or less than getting new rotors and pads at a BMW dealership.

I already replaced my factory pads with power stop Z23s. They’re easily 1/10 the dust of factory and also stopped 6 feet shorter 60-0 so I was curious about your results. Might grab the rotors myself but have been pretty hard on them and no warping yet which means the heat is getting out pretty well.

I went for the balanced approach. Stopping distance should be shorter than the stock pads but it's not the most aggressive brake pad isweep offers.

iSWEEP Brake Pad Comparison:

IS1500 (Street Comfort): Designed for daily commuting, these ceramic-based pads offer extremely low dust and noise compared to OEM pads. They offer a similar or slightly less aggressive initial bite than stock. Suitable for ambient temperatures up to 842°F.

IS2000 (Street/Sports): A versatile pad for aggressive street driving, winding roads, and light track use. It provides a more aggressive initial bite and better high-temperature resistance than the IS1500, with higher brake fade resistance.

IS2500 (Sports/Short Circuit): Geared toward enthusiast driving and short circuit track days, offering higher performance than the IS2000 while maintaining good modulation.

The rotors should also help lower stopping distance and fade. And they do look a lot nicer than the stock rotors. So when you're rotors need replacement I'd recommend giving them a try.
