One thing to point out here... is that Toyota did extremely well with hybrids as they pioneered them... but they completely butchered Ice development... they were one of the last brands to roll out turbo motors and now are paying the price in reliability on their turbo 4s and 6s... then it seems like they almost entirely forgot the EV space which is arguably why the most recent CEO was asked to step down. The fact they stayed with hybrids was arguably their only saving grace.
