Secondary down pipes.

So I am computer illiterate and really don’t know shit about cars. I ordered the gexhaust cat back system. The shop I am looking to have them installed said he can also do the secondary down pipes for more sound. I see on this forum some people have done it but I am still dumbfounded.

So I see the cats and what I am gathering the secondary down pipes are the “resonators”? I’m not sure. So the exhaust I am getting is the same as the valvetronic but with an h pipe rather than x and a different muffler slightly.

So what I am looking at is it something else? And I only see a couple options for a “secondary down pipe” by red line I believe and none for the 26

This is for a 26 x6 m comp btw. I will bump up my other exhaust post with end results for the gexhaust but trying to get the secondary done if it’s something different to what I think it is.

You have 4 cats. primary and secondary.

Primary, if it is cheap/affordable can give CEL. If 2-3k no CEL.

secondary no issue. "better flow" and more volume

resonator is where your H or X pipe gonna be

Thanks! Got a quote for primary installed $4500 if I do it with the whole exhaust. Then $1000 if I wanted to do secondary w exhaust. Can’t seem to find too many sound clip videos though.

Damn that sounds sooo good. Finally after almost a month I’m getting my exhaust with the h pipe. Think I’m going to just install that and see how it sounds. Will get a video on here as well.

Finally have the cat back h pipe gExhaust installed! Really un impressed. The sound BARELY changed at all. The stock exhaust on the x6 m comp was breaking in at 600 miles and sounding better so I would never do cat back again. Dk how to post sound clips.

sorry to hear you are unimpressed. I was a bit unhappy with the overall loudness of mine, but now it's growing on me, and a few of my neighbors already said its sounds good and they are not too bothered, but def can hear cold start coz I am lazy to close the valves hehehe

Maybe when it breaks in it will sound better. Just frustrates me they told me 1.5-2 weeks. The thing I did like he was very responsive on texts. But when I confronted him about it not being here to me in 1.5-2 weeks he told me “it’s been only 15 days so we are still in the window.” This was before he even had the exhaust to ship to me. I just like transparency. I don’t ask for discounts don’t ask for anything special just your word. And it came one day short of 4 weeks. I don’t use any “computers” other than my iPhone so yeah if anyone wants to hear it let me know and I’ll e mail you the small clips. Nothing worth uploading to insta.

My exhaust did get louder eventually... give it a few weeks and always open valves haha

Your next should be primary, skip secondary, do 400 cell GESI if you want to go really loud, monster territory
