Fast forward another decade and I went hunting for another X5, this time an M, to see if the spirit of the original still existed. I do miss the analog feel, and by all measures the 2023 is an objectively better vehicle, I wasn't willing to deal with all-screen controls on a fun driving car so 2023 with manual climate buttons, radio buttons and more was where I ended up.
This was supposed to be a quick review, but got a little long :-)
