P_Leotardo wroteCar looks like a BMW G01 X3?My wife kind of destroyed her side mirror when backing into the garage. I managed to hobble it back together with gorilla glue but we want to fix it. Dealer is charging an exorbitant amount and they only will replace the entire mirror and mirror assembly with cameras etc, however only the plastic shell needs to be replaced. Can anyone tell me what parts I need to purchase or even better, provide links?

P_Leotardo wroteI am not even sure what model you have, but search for side-view-mirror housings at BMW junk yards or eBay.Dealer is charging an exorbitant amount and they only will replace the entire mirror and mirror assembly with cameras etc, however only the plastic shell needs to be replaced.
afadeev wroteI park on the right-hand side of our garage and pulling into it such that there's a reasonable amount of space between the cars for the driver's side door to open is an exercise in terror, lol. I have to get very close to the garage doors frame and then angle in just a bit, which doesn't make backing out all that much fun either. I wish widening the opening was in the cards, but it's not without some significant expense. The only long-term solution is widening your garage doors by +1 foot.
