Once you find that, then yes, the new oil filter snaps into place.Do I need to press down on the oil filter into the oil filter cap triangle shaped thing until I hear a click or do I just put the oil filter in the cap with the screen side down?

lettus wroteIt means it is not installed properly. Although once installed and torqued to spec the cartridge inside will seat properly, or collapse.What happens if I dont snap it into place?
