Hi! Recently acquired a 2023 xDrive40i xLine and see that a software purchase for Adaptive M Suspension is available in the online store.

First, I want to say that I love pretty much everything about this BMW, including the ride/handling compromise in the "base" suspension.

Question: Does the base suspension "adapt to respective conditions in split seconds"? Another way to ask the same question: does the software upgrade only allow you to stiffen the suspension in Sport Mode? BMW genius sent me the attached, and it seems to be saying that the software upgrade just allows you to stiffen the suspension.

I recently selected the trial option on my 24 x5. I seen the option selectable in sport mode, but didn't pay attention if it's available on comfort.... With that said, I find it hard to tell the option is on. I doubt I'll continue to pay for it.

Recieved this email from BMW Assist:

"The standard suspension in your vehicle is fixed and does not adapt automatically to road conditions or driving style.

Adaptive M Suspension, on the other hand, uses sensors to continuously adjust in real time for improved comfort and handling. It also allows you to select driving modes, such as Comfort or Sport, which change the suspension settings."

So, I guess that confirms. I'll probably buy it.
