Back in 2023 I was living in the ATL metro area. A girl I was dating at the time were downtown for a concert, decided to stop into the original Ted's that's downtown. We were chatting with the bartender, he commented "Ted still lives upstairs from here". Not five minutes later in walks Ted Turner with his family. He was in rough shape, but walking with assistance and still smiling and waving to patrons. I turned around from my barstool, he was right behind me and I said "Hi Mr Turner" and gave him a fist bump. He and the family walked the the back of the restaurant and sat down at a big round table. Cool moment. RIP.
