We bought a 2026 X5 50e in February. While waiting for delivery, I looked into getting a level 2 charger for the garage. I got a few estimates - it was not an easy install from the basement panel. The electric company we went with charged $1950 for the installation and parts and I provided the Charge Point - Home Flex ($584). Our power company here in western NC had a charger installation credit for $1,133 (covered install, but not the box).
This will vary from state to state, so check your electric company and your state and local government for rebates on charger installs. I found one more - a federal tax credit for 30% of all your expenses up to $1000. Note: this tax credit is only good on installs completed through June 30, 2026. See link for info.

Thanks for the information. I was already looking at the Duke Energy program, but didn't know about the federal one. My 50e is scheduled to be built next week.
