Hi everyone. I have this car just for a week and haven’t filled up even gas yet. It’s s 2026 with 167 miles. Today the car went to the limp mode. I have bluetooth obd scanner and was able to get two codes p1638 and p0174. The closest appointment at service is on Tuesday so I am not using the car until then. Is anybody had similar issue?

Unless you have a code reader that can read BMW specific codes, nobody her can do nothing more than guess.

Sorry to hear this. P1638 in BMW speak is often a throttle position sensor fault. However, since you're still in break in, it could have something to do with the whacky software they have monitoring the battery charge during the first 300 miles.

Do you have a bmw specific code reader app? If not try bimmerlink. Read and note down the codes, then clear and see if they come back. Could have just been a fluke.
