From factory it's more than just tape. I did this two years ago, it's a bitch. The toughest part is getting the residue off the car, goo gone won't really cut it. I ended up just rolling it off with my fingers. Wish I had a heat gun at the time.

You are right, adhesive didn't do shit for me. I ended up going to the detailed and he used some adhesive remover he had and got it off. My fingers were all blistered from rolling.
