I am in Canada and very little of the ConnectedDrive stuff has ever worked for me. I also find that I don't have a problem locking my keys in the car. I tried the concierge thing once, don't even remember what for, but found there was too much 'sir' and not enough actual assistance.
I think BMW is looking for $185 a year for a connected drive subscription, which is really more than I want to spend to have the weather on my iDrive screen, it's not like I am lighting cigars with hundreds!
Once I can use Waze in CarPlay, I will turn that on when traveling, I find CarPlay less compelling than the stock iDrive, I prefer Spotify as I find Apple Music does not work well if you use it anywhere other than in the car. For me, it starts playing the first song of all the music I have on my phone whenever I plug in the phone.
For quick trips, I would rather use the iDrive voice recognition for the navigation rather than Siri, she and I don't get along.
