The good old rotary dash vent knob. No matter what else is going on in the car, if you want air, cold, hot or a mix, from the center dash vent, just rotate the knob...you can do it without taking your eyes off the road. Oh well, looks like those days are disappearing.

Yup, much like a volume knob or manual buttons for primary controls. The full touch screen console is horrible even after you learn it. I suspect Audi might move away from it as nobody likes it.
