This is why I suggest the 45e to everyone: with the $7500 tax credit, my $78.4k build (after destination) came out to $59.1k.
That's just a hair under 25% off MSRP...and ya know, you're getting 25-100% better MPG and more power. (With a slight weight problem but I haven't noticed the diff).
